What is the difference between Afro Brazil Tours & Travels and our competitors?

The biggest difference between Afro-Brazil Tours & Travel and other companies is the service you receive before, during and after your trip. Our primary focus is to insure that our tour guest enjoy a no-hassle vacation. Perhaps, the most appealing feature for our tour clients is our ability to customize both our private and group excursions to best fit the personality and wishes of our tour guest on every single trip that we offer to Brazil from the USA. Our main goal going forward is to expose the beauty and wonders of Brazil to astute, adventurous, American travelers – especially those travelers who have never visited Brazil.

 

What do your tour packages include?

Most of our packages include hotel accommodations, airport transfers, and historic city tour.

 

Do I have to purchase the entire package?

No, you do not have to purchase the entire package. A lot of our clients have frequent flier miles and only need the land portion of the trip, so we accommodate that. Also, for our budget conscious clients, we offer a unique package feature that allows our clients to take advantage of our ‘shorter stay’ option. For example, all of our tour packages to Brazil will include travel to both Salvador Bahia and Rio de Janeiro. If you’d like to visit just one of our destination cities you can do so and save the extra expense of traveling to all cities of our tour packages.  

 

Can I customize my travel package to include other cities in Brazil?

We have contractual agreements with the best tour operators, airlines, and hotels in Brazil. So for instance, if you want to check out the Brazilian coastal cities of Natal or Fortaleza after your trip to Salvador Bahia or Rio de Janeiro, we can provide you with that package as well. Our primary tour Brazilian destinations are Rio de Janeiro and Salvador Bahia, however, we can accommodate your travel to any Brazilian city that you want to visit.

 

Can I book my own group trip to Brazil with ABT customizing our complete tour package? 

Yes, of course, you simply provide us with your desired travel dates, hotel/house/apartment rental accommodation requirements and destination cities in Brazil and we'll make it happen for you. Remember, you must have at least 15 passengers in your group to receive discounted airfare and ground accommodations for your group. Also, if your social travel club, professional organization, or church group travels with ABT on one of our scheduled Classic Discovery Tours we offer an excellent cash rebate  incentive plan for small groups. Additionally, we provide fund raising opportunities for social travel clubs and church groups of 17 or more.
  
  

Do you accommodate couples or single travelers?

We accommodate everyone. Keep in mind that at most travel agencies if you're traveling alone the package price is more expensive than if you were traveling with a friend or relative. To make our progressive travel service more inviting to single travelers, we've teamed up with hotels that don't charge you with an expensive surcharge when you're traveling alone. For our couples and singles tour guest we offer everyone the privacy that they desire at a price they can afford. We'll never force you to get a roommate to travel with us on our exotic Brazilian adventures.

What payment options do you accept

We accept all credit/debit card payments honored by our international payment precessing partner PayPal.com. Additionally, except wire transfers, money orders & cashier's checks. We do not accept personal checks.  

 

How can I pay with a credit card?

Once everything is confirmed, we'll send you a payment link and you can pay the balance due on your travel package online on out website. If you don't have access to the internet you'll need to fax/email/snail mail a completed credit card authorization form to our US office address. (see our contact page)

 

Can someone else purchase my travel package for me?

Yes, but the purchaser needs to fill out and fax/scan-email a Credit Card Authorization Form to our office along with a copy of a valid ID and the front/back side of the credit card. We'll send you a copy of our Credit Card Authorization Form upon request.

 

Do you offer payment plans?

Yes, however, our payment plan options vary depending on your travel package and when you book it. For our Classic Discovery Packages, the initial deposit/payment is US$250.00 for your hotel accommodations and 25% of your total flight cost (if you book your air flights with our air/travel broker) with the final balance due 60-days prior to departure. For our exclusive/private Carnival and New Years packages require an initial deposit/payment of US$500.00 New Years. We encourage early bookings and our payment plans will differ, but usually the final price is divided into (3) three equal payments.

 

What happens if I have to change my travel dates?

If you have to change your travel dates, let us know ASAP. For airlines a change fee will be applied,as well as any price difference in the new applicable fare. With regards, to your hotel/apartment-house rentals accommodations depend on availability, so, if your hotel room is still available when you arrive there will be no problem. If it isn't available we'll try to accommodate you at a hotel, apartment, or house of the same value. 

 

What if I need to cancel my trip?

If you need to cancel your trip, we need a written confirmation via email that you are canceling your trip.

How can I protect myself if I need to cancel my trip due to an emergency? 

Your best protection is travel insurance. We urge everyone that books with us to purchase travel insurance. If you have to cancel for an emergency, most policies will refund you the total amount of your package. What travel documents do I need to travel to Brazil?

Everyone needs a passport to travel outside the country. All US citizens need a valid passport and tourist visa to travel to Brazil. If you don't have a passport or you need to acquire a Brazil tourist visa click Here to start the process of applying for your passport or Brazil tourist visa. Allow 8 weeks to obtain you passport or visa


Can Afro Brazil Tours facilitate your visa and travel document process?  

We will help you as much as possible in filling out the applications and answering any questions you may have about acquiring your passport of travel visa, but we are not a passport/visa processing company.

 

When do I receive my travel vouchers?

You will receive your travel vouchers and trip information about 2 weeks before your trip and once you have paid for you trip in full.

Can I purchase optional excursions or extra services before my trip departs?                       Yes, we highly recommend you to purchase and optional excursions before you commence your trip. Some activities and services sell out in advance, so it is better to have everything planned and confirmed before your trip departure date. We do offer you the opportunity to purchase optional excursions and extra services when you arrive in Brazil on a cash only, space available basis. 

What do I need to do when I’m ready to book my trip?                                                      We need for you to send us your exact name as it appears on your passport. We need that information to reserve the flights and hotels. Once availability is confirmed, you can make your payment.
